With financial aid, the cost of a Briar Cliff education is comparable to a state university. The vast majority of our students receive scholarships, grants and other forms of financial assistance. Listed below are financial assistance opportunities.

NOTE: All scholarships are for a maximum of four years, and all awards require completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA code for Briar Cliff is #001846.

Presidential Scholarship
INTERVIEW DATES

  • Full tuition
  • Minimum 26 ACT or 1170 SAT
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.75 (on 4.0 scale)
  • Demonstrated leadership
  • Interview required
  • Renewable (recipients must remain full-time students,
    live on campus and maintain a 3.0 GPA)
  • Deadline: Jan. 28, 2013

Saint Francis Scholarship
INTERVIEW DATES

  • Award ranges from $500 to $6,000
  • Minimum 24 ACT or 1090 SAT
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.25 (on 4.0 scale)
  • Demonstrated leadership
  • Renewable
  • Interview required
  • Deadline: Jan. 28, 2013

Academic Achievement Scholarship
MORE INFORMATION

  • Award ranges from $2,500 to $16,000
    (depending on campus residence)
  • Based on high school GPA and ACT/SAT scores
  • Renewable

Alumni Scholarship

  • $1,000 award
  • One parent must be a Briar Cliff graduate
  • Renewable

Art, Music, Theatre Scholarship

  • Awards vary
  • Requires audition or portfolio
  • Renewable based on program guidelines

Athletic Scholarship

  • Participating awards based on coach's decision
  • Renewable based on participation
  • Men’s and women’s basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, track and field, men's football, men's baseball, men's wrestling, women's softball and women's volleyball.

Connection Scholarship

  • $1,000 award
  • Must be attending a Catholic high school in the Sioux City Diocese
  • Renewable

Transfer Scholarship
APPLY HERE

  • Up to $10,000
  • Must have minimum 2.0 GPA
  • Must be full-time student
  • Must enroll for daytime classes

Bishop's Scholarship
APPLY HERE

  • Must belong to a parish within Diocese of Sioux City, and have the support of your priest
  • Minimum 24 ACT or 1090 SAT
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.25 (on 4.0 scale)
  • Must rank in the top quarter of graduating class
  • Deadline: Feb. 1, 2013
