English as a Second Language (ESL) Summer Institute
Briar Cliff University's ESL Summer Institute curriculum focuses on four key areas: English oral communication, English reading and writing, English grammar, and U.S. cultural literacy.

Benefits of the Program
During this intensive three-week ESL Summer Institute you will learn from ESL professionals, who are dedicated to helping you realize these benefits:
Improve your English language and U.S. literacy skills.

  • Maximize your performance on the TOEFL Exam.

  • Build competency and confidence in your use of English in your classes and employment.

  • Receive individualized guidance and instruction.

  • Learn about American cultural diversity.

  • Interact with students from all around the globe.

  • Experience cultural immersion travel to Omaha, Nebraska; Minneapolis, Minnesota; and South Dakota‚Äôs Badlands National Park and Mount Rushmore National Monument.

  • Upon completion of the ESL Summer Institute, you will receive a Certificate of Achievement and a TOEFL exam score.
