  • Provide high school transcripts. Current high school transcripts are necessary for acceptance. Final transcripts should be sent after graduation for permanent records and for participation in collegiate athletics.  If you have taken college credit classes, please provide those transcripts as well.
  • Sign Academic Pre-award. Scholarship information is provided to each student based on your ACT and grade point average. These scholarships range from $2,500-$16,000 depending on your academic criteria and residency on or off campus.  Please contact us if you haven't received this information.
  • Visit Briar Cliff University campus. You may set up your visit by calling 800-662-3303, ext. 5200, or 712-279-5200. Or sign up for a visit at Campus Visit on this website.
  • After acceptance, submit the Housing Application with the $150 tuition deposit. Payment can be submitted in full or by three installments of $50 each with a check, money order, or credit card.
  • Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The form is used for all financial aid – federal, state, and BCU institutional aid. You can file this form as early as January 1. Briar Cliff University's FAFSA code is 001846. [See BCU's ACT and SAT codes below.]
  • Accept the financial aid award. Financial aid packages will be mailed shortly after we have received your FAFSA information. When the award is signed and returned, your financial aid money is set aside for you.
  • Register for Freshmen Orientation. During Freshmen Orientation, students will take placement tests, become better prepared for the transition to college, and advise and register for fall classes. Parents attend information sessions on financial aid, campus life, and student billing. Registration materials will be mailed in early April. 
  • Move into residence halls and begin classes in the Fall.
