International Student Application Procedures
To be considered for admission to Briar Cliff University, the international student should provide the following:
1)  A completed online application for admission.
2)  An application fee of $20 (US) (non refundable.)
3)  All foreign offical transcripts must be sent to Educational Credential Evaluators for a course-by-course evaluation.  All post secondary transcripts must be sent if the student has attended a college or university.

4)  All non-English speaking students must submit results of the Test of English as Foreign Language (TOEFL).  Briar Cliff requires a minimum 525 score for the written test; 193 for the computerized test and 70 on the internet-based test for student to enroll in full-credit courses.  English as a Second Language (ESL) classes may be recommended after an on-campus proficiency assessment.  Satisfactory scores on either the American College Testing Program (ACT) or the College Board Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) may be substituted for the TOEFL at the discretion of the Vice President for Enrollment Management.

5)  A letter of recommendation from a professor or teacher
6)  If you plan to compete in intercollegiate athletics at Briar Cliff, you must satisfy a minimum of two out of the following three requirements for NAIA eligibility:
-submit a score of 18 on the American College Test (ACT) or 860 on the College Board Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT)
-achieve a cumulative grade point average of 2.00 on a 4.00 scale in high school
-graduate in the top half of your high school class.
7)  A certified financial (bank) statement from a financial guarantor that costs while in attendance at Briar Cliff University will be underwritten.
8)  Proof of health insurance coverage or purchase a health insurance plan that meets certain minimum benefit requirements.  (Briar Cliff offers a health insurance plan which the student may purchase as soon as he or she arrives on campus.)  Send all documents and records to:
